Precision rotary axis for flexible CMM inspection.
QuadScan is a precision rotary axis developed for coordinate measuring machines (CMMs), where positioning and stable rotation are crucial. The system is equipped with backlash-free gearing and a high-resolution angle encoder that ensures sensitive positioning and high repeatability in metrology and precision testing.
The rotary table can be used both horizontally and vertically, providing great flexibility when inspecting parts with varying geometry. By rotating the workpiece instead of moving it manually, access to measurement points is increased and the measurement process becomes more efficient.
QuadScan is available with table platters of Ø100 mm, Ø150 mm and Ø200 mm and handles loads up to 100 kg as well as tilt moment up to 10 Nm. The robust design and an angular accuracy of up to 10 arcseconds make the system an effective solution for inspecting smaller components in advanced CMM metrology.
