Seminar - Cleanliness - Scania
Nyli and QP3 Ytteknik would like to thank Scania for the invitation to hold the seminar on technical cleanliness with a special focus on filmic contamination
Particle requirements on drawings for components that need them are common today, and manufacturing companies actively work with particle analysis and measures in the manufacturing process to meet these requirements.
Filmic contamination, on the other hand, rarely has a requirement on the drawing; instead, any measurement or visual evaluation occurs close to the process that can be damaged by the coating. It is also common for operators performing measurements to only follow measurement values without understanding how the technology works, which can lead to incorrect conclusions and subsequently to quality deficiencies in connection with various surface treatments. (painting, welding, adhesive processes, and more)
Removing filmic contamination is also a prerequisite for being able to meet the set particle requirements on components.
