Camera for Measuring Machine

Tactile and optical measurement in the same "CMM".

Advanced camera system and software module enables non-contact measurement on all Aberlink measuring machines.
(Not applicable to Extol or Fulcrum)

CMM Kamera - B1

Smart Coupling

An innovative design of a magnetic coupling allows a tactile probe to be swapped for the camera in seconds. Components can therefore be easily and quickly inspected both tactilely and optically on the same CMM.

Enhanced Sharpness

The camera has a telecentric lens that provides a distortion-free image on the screen and with a programmable light ring with 16 LED lights containing alternating white and UV LEDs.

The white LEDs provide surface illumination in the usual way while the UV LEDs offer an innovative solution to the problem of backlighting on a measuring machine where the component to be measured is placed on a plate that reflects the UV light, thus acting as backlighting.

CMM Kamera - B3
  • Switch between touch probe and CMM camera in seconds
  • Use tactile and optical measurement within the same program
  • High precision edge detection
  • Thread measurement - min/max/mean pitch, left/right angles, effective diameter
  • Programmable digital zoom (no need to change lenses)
  • Directed overhead and backlighting for inspecting profile and surface features
  • Telecentric lens accurately measures even when the feature part is out of focus
  • Accurate measurement of 3D and turned parts with the collimated light option
